Despite being a very small moon, ‘Lo’ (yeah, yeah, THAT not inconsequential volcanically active moon which circumnavigates Jupiter) more than makes up for its physical stature by playing host to a rather impressive cryovolcano, which is considered the most active body in our entire solar system. We’re not sure this is breaking news to Kerry Darlington, as we’re assuming that the critically acclaimed and much-trumpeted contemporary fine artist knows her volcanic moons swag; hence inspiring the award-winning exponent of her selected genre to create and craft this gorgeous new Spring 2015 Unique Edition. Entitled ‘Lo’, this hand embellished and glossed visual number is equally diminutive in stature (although size isn’t always everything so we’re reliably informed), measuring some 17” x 48”, yet more than compensates for any shortfalls in overall circumference by graphically manifesting some highly illustrative fluid, visceral brush strokes. Combine this with its strictly limited edition (95 copies) appeal and the underlying fact that it bears Darlington’s moniker, and we’re expecting this engaging study to fly off the shelves on launch.
