Seen as something of a departure in terms of painted population, the highly-anticipated new release by the hugely popular contemporary fine artist, Kerry Darlington pictures aliens and spaceships for what we believe is the first time. Darlington’s brand new piece, entitled ‘Lollipop Galaxy’ is illustratively inter-galactic, and sees a raft of other worldly space craft landing (or making their last approach) in the midst of her limited edition, artist-signed composition. Naturally it wouldn’t really be a Darlington study unless there were a few signature trees in the visual mix, but even these look more Alien-esque than ET-friendly, despite seemingly growing lollipops from their branches. Either way, it’s yet another colourific vision of a very bright future, which kinda echoes Darlington’s to our mind.
