It’s nothing new that sheep are often depicted as giant fluffy clouds, floating aimlessly through the skies above our heads by visionary artists. But it is quite unusual when those sheep aren’t overly-cloud like yet are very, well, pink. Pinker than a Cadillac, Rod Hull’s Windmill AND Dame Barbara Cartland’s wardrobe. But that’s precisely how the critically acclaimed contemporary fine art exponent, Mackenzie Thorpe has envisaged the sheep discovered in the heart of his brand new autumn 2017 giclee limited edition. Not, let it be said, there’s anything wrong with this slight illustrative digression. Plus after all, where would we be without the application of artistic licence once in a while. ‘Family’ is the pictorial representation of the best-loved Thorpe’s very latest 26” x 28” compositional iteration, and can be requested/order/etc with pretty much immediate effect for those referred to as being interested parties.
